Identities of victims in plane crash released by BC Coroner’s Service

The BC Coroners Service has confirmed that Leonard Bradley Chapman and Florian Michael Chapman are the two men who died following an airplane crash near Baldonnel on Friday afternoon.
Leonard was 56 years old, and Florian was 26 years old. Both men were from Vernon.
Leonard Chapman was piloting the Cessna 207 plane with Florian as a passenger when it crashed on takeoff from an unpaved airstrip at the Chapman gravel site on 239 Road, about 15 km south of Fort St. John.
Coroners and the Transportation Safety Board are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash and these deaths.
The BC Coroner’s service says the families of the victims have been notified of these deaths.
