TAYLOR, B.C. — The District of Taylor is asking the community to enter floats for the upcoming World’s Invitational Gold Panning Championships parade. 

According to a post on the District of Taylor’s Facebook page on July 7, the district is asking the community for help making the parade “bigger and better.”

The community can enter a float, a decorated vehicle, a quad, a piece of equipment, a horseback entry or other animal entry.

In addition, businesses, organisations, families, sports teams, or groups of friends can take part in the parade. 

The post said, “Help us keep this cherished tradition going by participating in the parade or coming out to cheer along the route.” 

The parade has been scheduled for July 31, 2026, at 5:30 p.m.

Marshalling will begin at 5 p.m. at the Taylor Arena parking lot, and the event is free for the community to enter. 

To register for the parade or for more information, people can contact Community Services at 250-789-2828.
