Hudson’s Hope Health Centre’s ER closes for 3 hours

The Hudson’s Hope Health Centre’s ER will be “temporarily closed” until July 7 at 8:30 a.m.

HUDSON’S HOPE, B.C. — The ER in Hudson’s Hope is “temporarily closed” after coming out of a week-long closure. 

According to Northern Health’s Emergency Department Status page, the closure started at approximately 1 p.m. on July 6.

Emergency services are said to resume on Tuesday, July 7 at 8:30 a.m.

During normal working hours, the centre is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., excluding weekends and statutory holidays. 

This comes after the emergency department was closed from June 29 to July 6

In a written statement to Energeticcity.ca, Northern Health said, “The current service interruption in Hudson’s Hope is the result of staffing challenges we have outlined previously.”

“As indicated on the Emergency Department Status web page, the health centre’s emergency care services are expected to resume on Tuesday, July 7.” 

Northern Health urged residents who are in need of emergency care during the closure to call 911 to connect to BC Emergency Health Services for transport to the nearest available hospital.
