FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The B.C. Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (BC SPCA) North Peace Branch is seeking fosters.

According to a Facebook post from BC SPCA North Peace on June 19th, “animals in [the] north peace need safe, loving homes and fostering is one of the most powerful ways you can help.”

Experience fostering is not required, as support and guidance are provided. Supplies are also covered, and both short-term and flexible fostering options are available.

“From playful kittens and puppies to adult dogs, cats and small animals, every foster home makes space for another animal in need,” the post said.

Fosters or lead fosters in a family must be 19 years of age or older and live in a place where pets are allowed, according to the BC SPCA website.

Animal fosters are also required to commit to a minimum of six months and must have access to a vehicle.
