Kealy said he wants to hear feedback from residents.

“I want to know their stance [on] how everything’s going with them,” he said. “I wasn’t around for when the first and second slides happened, so once I have that feedback is where I can go back to a couple different ministries to really try and push and advocate for them.”

“That’s my biggest thing, is that we have to have something happen for them, because this is going on way too long,” Kealy said.

Old Fort Road was closed on April 20th due to ground movement near the site of a 2018 landslide.

On May 21st, 2026, the Peace River Regional District (PRRD) announced it had cancelled the evacuation order for Old Fort.

Evacuation alerts issued on April 23rd and May 21st  remain in place for the Old Fort Landslide, according to the PRRD.

According to a Facebook post by Kealy on May 29th, residents are encouraged to RSVP for the town hall by emailing Jordan.Kealy.MLA@leg.bc.ca.

Residents who are unable to attend are asked to email Kealy’s office with their concerns.

Virtual attendance is also available by requesting the link through Kealy’s office.
