Darryl Krakowka, mayor of the District of Tumbler Ridge, said his town is “proud” to be included in the festivities as well as “share in the excitement” around the 2026 World Cup.

“Over the past few months, our community has continued to support one another, and this event will provide an opportunity for people to gather, spend time together and enjoy a positive experience close to home,” said Krakowka.

The community of Tumbler Ridge is still recovering from a deadly mass shooting in February, which left nine people dead.
