Hudson’s Hope Health Centre closure extended again
The Hudson’s Hope Health Centre closure has been extended and it is now supposed to reopen on April 1st at 8.30 a.m.

HUDSON’S HOPE, B.C. — The Hudson’s Hope Health Centre has been closed for the 12th day since the last week of February.
As per an update on Northern Health’s Emergency Department status page, the centre was set to reopen on March 31st after being closed for two working days, but now it is said to be reopening on April 1st at 8.30 a.m.
This comes after the health centre was closed from February 24th to 27th and on March 6th, March 10th, March 13th, March 20th, March 23rd, March 27th and March 30th.
Today’s closure means the centre has not been open to the public since March 26th.
The health authority, in a written statement, previously told Energeticcity.ca the centre has been experiencing interruptions to its daytime and weekday emergency department services due to “staffing shortages.”
The centre is usually open from Monday to Friday from 8.30 a.m. to 4 p.m. during normal working hours.
Residents in need of emergency care, outside of normal working hours and weekends, are urged to call 911 to connect to BC Emergency Health Services for transport to the nearest available hospital.
