Hudson’s Hope Health Centre’s ER closed, staff recruited
The Hudson’s Hope Health Centre ER is closed once again until June 1st due to staffing challenges Northern Health states are soon to be resolved.

HUDSON’S HOPE, B.C. — The Emergency department service in Hudson Hope is facing a temporary closure after being open for four days.
According to Northern Health’s Emergency Department Status page, the emergency department will now reopen on Monday, June 1st, at 8.30 a.m.
The department was previously closed from May 19th to May 25th.
In a written statement to Energeticcity.ca, Northern Health said: “As with the majority of recent interruptions to emergency care services at Hudson’s Hope Health Centre, staffing challenges are the cause.”
“As Northern Health has shared previously, the community is currently served by one physician working part-time and Northern Health has been actively recruiting for a second family physician.”
The health authority also stated it has recruited an international medical graduate (IMG) candidate who is currently in the recruitment process and is expected to arrive over the summer months after the process is complete.
The center is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday to Friday, during normal working hours.
