Highway 97 to close during avalanche control work

CHETWYND, B.C. — Highway 97 will be closed for approximately one hour today due to avalanche control work. 

According to Drive BC, the highway connecting Chetwynd to Prince George will be closed for approximately one hour between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., between Kloss Road and Old Hasler Road for 44.4 kilometres.

The closure is located three kilometres north of the Pine Pass summit to 17 kilometres north of McLeod Lake.
