Pedestrian dies after being hit by vehicle in Dawson Creek

The collision occurred on January 19th, with the man being transported to hospital before the Dawson Creek RCMP were notified of his death two days later.

DAWSON CREEK, B.C. — A man has died after being struck by a vehicle in Dawson Creek earlier this week.

Corporal Madonna Saunderson, the RCMP’s North District communications officer, told Energeticcity.ca Dawson Creek officers responded at 10:16 a.m. on Monday, January 19th to a report of a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian at the intersection of 102nd Avenue and 16th Street.

BC Emergency Health Services transported the man to hospital prior to officers arriving on scene. The driver of the vehicle remained at the location following the crash.

On January 21st, the RCMP were notified the man had died from his injuries.

No further details have been released. The RCMP says additional information may be provided as it becomes available.
