WHL’s Broncos ink Fort St. John defenceman to deal
Linden Andersen, formerly of the U-15 North East BC Trackers, has signed a scholarship and development contract with the Swift Current Broncos of the Western Hockey League.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — While he cut his hockey teeth in Fort St. John, Linden Andersen will move eastward in the next step of his hockey career.
The 15-year-old defenceman signed a scholarship and development contract with the Western Hockey League’s (WHL) Swift Current Broncos, the club announced in a press release on December 15th.
Under the terms of the agreement, Andersen can enact the scholarship anytime within 18 months of his junior hockey eligibility ending from signing.
Andersen was selected by the club in the second round with the 37th pick overall in the WHL’s 2025 prospect draft back in May.
Andersen has spent this season with the South Alberta Hockey Academy U-18 Prep team based out of Dunmore, Alberta.
He has seven assists in 19 appearances with the Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) club.
Last season, with the U-15 North East BC Trackers, he scored 34 goals with 49 assists for 83 points in just 32 games.
