The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) published a recall alert for Biskwi brand Waffles with Chocolaty Filling on October 16th due to mould, noting to “not use, sell, serve or distribute the affected product.”

According to the report, 180-gram packages of the dessert with best before dates between April 21st, 2026 and May 12th, 2026 are affected.

The CFIA noted the product is distributed nationally, meaning that Dollarama locations across Canada, including those in the Peace region, are taking part in the recall.

The CFIA has categorized this recall as class three, indicating a low risk of adverse health effects from consuming the product. This classification also applies to foods that, while not posing a health risk, do not meet regulatory standards.

Individuals who have already bought the product are encouraged to either dispose of it or return it to the store where it was purchased.
