FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The city has dedicated November to fundraising for the local hospital foundation.

Kelly Amboe, the executive director of the Fort St. John Hospital Foundation, presented to the City of Fort St. John council during the October 14th meeting, providing an overview of the foundation’s 2024 fundraising and its plans for 2025.

According to Amboe, fundraising in 2024 yielded more than $1.2 million, which went towards the purchase of a MALDI Biotyper, also known as a matrix assisted laser absorption ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry machine.
