FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Moose Media announced via Facebook on Tuesday, November 5th, that it will return with its 21st Annual Light A Moose Radiothon, raising funds for the Fort St. John Hospital Foundation.
The multi-day event will feature live broadcasts from 5:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. outside Chances Casino on November 20th, 21st, and 22nd, collecting donations for the hospital foundation.
Chances Casino is sponsoring the event alongside several other local businesses, including the Pomeroy Hotel and Conference Centre, Bluewave Energy, the Fort St. John Co-op, and Home Hardware.
This year’s goal is to raise $150,000 for a new MALDI Machine.
The device will help doctors quickly identify pathogens and speed up treatment with the right antibiotics, boosting patient recovery times.
“Every dollar counts—let’s make a difference together!” said the post.
Last year, the Radiothon raised a record-breaking $197,000 to purchase a Phillips Epiq Elite Ultrasound machine.
