BC SPCA North Peace invites community to open house

The BC SPCA’s Fort St. John location will hold an open house on Thursday, October 16th, from 2 p.m. to 4p.m.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The BC SPCA North Peace Community Animal Centre will be holding an open house next week.

The open house will take place on Thursday, October 16th, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., at the centre’s location at Unit E 10503 89th Avenue.

According to the organization, visitors will be able to take a behind-the-scenes tour of the facility, meet members of the Animal Care team and learn about the SPCA’s efforts to help vulnerable animals in the Peace region.

The event will also feature information about local SPCA programs and services, a chance to enter a draw for a basket of pet-related prizes and complimentary refreshments.

Those interested will also have the opportunity to register as a volunteer for the organization.

“This is your chance to connect with fellow animal enthusiasts, celebrate compassion and see the difference your support makes for animals in our community,” the organization said in an October 8th Facebook post.

The BC SPCA also encouraged residents to bring their “family, curiosity and love for animals”.
