FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Four positions are up for election on the Fort St. John and District Chamber of Commerce board of directors.

Eligible candidates must be chamber members in good standing and have their names submitted through the official nomination process.

According to a press release from the chamber, board directors help set priorities, advance advocacy efforts and support initiatives designed to strengthen both the local business community and the wider regional economy.

Serving on the board provides members the chance to represent and advocate for local businesses, influence the chamber’s strategic direction, build cross-industry connections and contribute to community and economic development in the North Peace region.

Nomination forms will be sent out to chamber members on November 3rd, followed by an information session at the Pomeroy Hotel and Conference Centre on November 4th, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. 

The information session is for prospective candidates interested in learning more about the expectations of board members. Those interested in attending can register for $50 at the chamber’s website.

Nominations will be accepted between November 3rd and November 21st. Voting packages will be distributed on November 21st, with the election running until November 30th.
