NOTICE OF PUBLIC REVIEW AND COMMENT PERIOD FOR FOREST OPERATIONS MAP#2630

West Fraser Mills Ltd. has prepared a Forest Operations Map (FOM) #2630 for the Dawson Creek Timber Supply Area. This FOM is available for public review and comment from Sept 29 to Oct 29, 2025. This FOM is available for review at Chetwynd Forest Industries, a Division of West Fraser Mills Ltd., 3598 West Fraser Road, Chetwynd, BC during the business hours of 7:30am to 4:30pm or anytime on the FOM website https://fom.nrs.gov.bc.ca/public/projects

This FOM identifies the location of Proposed blocks and roads in the Dawson Creek Timber Supply Area to provide Chetwynd Forest Industries, a Division of West Fraser Mills Ltd. with timber to produce lumber and value-added forest products such as wood chips for pulp & paper, trim blocks for finger jointed lumber, and electricity for the benefit of all. Development within these proposed areas will be consistent with legal requirements under the Forest Range and Practices Act and the results, strategies, measures, and stocking standards included in the approved Forest Stewardship Plan 584. The FOM is a requirement under the Forest and Range Practices Act and is intended to enhance transparency of operational planning and to provide engagement opportunities for interested members of the public and community stakeholders.
