Fort St John Today: Truth & Reconciliation Day 2025
In this edition, commemorate the National Day for Truth & Reconciliation. Plus, events happening Sep 30-October 6, 2025.

Hi everybody,
This blog post is a day early because tomorrow is the National Day for Truth & Reconciliation. Local groups are hosting events in our community to commemorate the day including a Walk & BBQ starting at 10 AM, a Fishing Derby by the FSJ Métis Society, an Outdoor Film Night at Tse’k’wa, and more. Another big day this week is the National Day for Action for MMIWG2S on Saturday, October 4. On that day, there is the “Understanding Human Rights: In Fort St John and Beyond” lecture at the Lido Theatre as well as a vigil starting at starting at 4:00 PM at the Treaty 8 Tribal Association’s office.
