Dawson Creek death deemed suspicious, RCMP officers appeal to public

Further information about the death of Aaron Linklater in Dawson Creek isn’t being released by the RCMP for now to “protect the integrity of the investigation.”

DAWSON CREEK, B.C. — Police officers in Dawson Creek are turning to the public for help as they investigate a death that’s been deemed suspicious.

According to a press release from the city’s RCMP detachment, on September 9th, officers discovered Aaron Linklater deceased at 1513 107th Avenue.

Following further investigation into the incident over the last few weeks, the death has been deemed suspicious, and the North District Major Crimes Unit has taken over the case.

Officers say they’re now seeking information from the public, although further information isn’t being released for now to “protect the integrity of the investigation.” 

Anyone who has information regarding Linklater’s death or surveillance footage of 1513 107th Avenue is urged to call the Dawson Creek RCMP detachment at 250-784-3700.
