However, according to a representative from the BC Prosecution Service (BCPS), the hearing was adjourned and will now be held on Monday, September 22nd.
According to the Provincial Court of British Columbia’s website, arraignment hearings are “usually the hearing where [the accused will] plead guilty or not guilty to the criminal charge.”
Meanwhile, the Fort St. John RCMP detachment’s investigation into the incident continues.
Anyone with further information is urged to contact the detachment at 250-787-8100 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
