The funding comes from UBCM’s Community Emergency Preparedness Fund, which is financed by the Ministry of Emergency Management and Climate Readiness.

According to the letter, UBCM will issue the grant once the notification plan is complete, and a final report and financial summary has been submitted.

No information is available at this time regarding the timeline of the project, however UBCM specified the project must be completed “within one year,” with the specific date of June 5th, 2026.
