“It is believed that foul play led to his death,” said the release.

Nande was first reported missing in April 2023.

RCMP officers in Kamloops originally investigated his case because they believed he had been travelling there, but found no evidence he arrived.

“Nande was believed to have gone missing in March 2023, from Kamloops, his last known location,” said the release.

Nande had a court-imposed curfew in Fort St. John and was reportedly last seen by his probation officer in March, leading to the investigation being passed to officers in Fort St. John.

Staff Sergeant Jason Smart, unit commander of the BC RCMP SED MCU, said he is advising his team to continue investigating the death.

Sergeant Smart requests anyone with information about Nande’s death or disappearance to contact the RCMP SED MCU information line at 1-877-987-8477.
