In a press release on Wednesday, Poilievre said the Conservative Party was fighting for a Canada that was “self-reliant where hard working guarantees a beautiful home on a safe street.”

“Conservative solutions are needed now more than ever,” Poilievre wrote in the statement. “We have already won the debates on carbon taxes, inflation, housing costs, crime, natural resource development and more.”

The Conservative Party upped its presence in the House of Commons by 23 more seats in the 2025 election, forming the official opposition to Mark Carney’s Liberal Party, who won a fourth mandate with 170 seats.
