“At this time, playgrounds, walking trails and the boat launch are open to public usage,” the announcement reads.

“However, vehicle access to pavilion gates, the island and ATV [all-terrain vehicle] sites are prohibited in order to ensure ample time for the ground to solidify from spring thaw prior to our opening weekend.”

People using park facilities that are currently accessible are being told to expect to see park staff maintaining the inaccessible areas in preparation for the first scheduled arrivals of 2025.

Camping spot reservations at the park vary in price from $22 to $44 per night. They can be booked online.
