Last year, the ball raised more than $166,000, with the money being split between the BC Professional Firefighters Burn Fund, the Medical Travel Fund, and a partnership with School District 60 providing local students with backpacks.

The society’s announcement says tickets for this year’s ball will go on sale on April 1st. In the meantime, anyone interested in donating to the Charitable Society or sponsoring the event can email the organization or reach out through social media.

The programs that will benefit from this year’s event have yet to be announced. Energeticcity.ca has contacted Brent Morgan, the society’s president, to learn more.
