FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Peace River North’s new MLA, Jordan Kealy, is opening up about his experience in the position since being elected.
“It has been a whirlwind so far,” says Kealy.
In the December 13th episode of This Week in the Peace with Steve Berard, Kealy explained his responsibilities and how he has been acclimating to the new position.
In October, Kealy secured a landslide victory in the 2024 Provincial General Election, taking more than 70 per cent of votes.
According to Kealy, learning the roles and responsibilities of a Member of Parliament (MLA) has been a lot.
Some of those duties include orientation to the legislative processes and procedures, and developing an understanding of government roles.
“It’s very important and very useful,” Kealy explained.
