Fort St. John Santa Claus Parade returns this weekend

Fort St. John’s annual Christmas celebration is just around the corner, and Energeticcity.ca and Moose Media will be taking part.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Fort St. John’s annual Christmas celebration is just around the corner, and Energeticcity.ca and Moose Media will be taking part.

The annual Santa Claus Parade is scheduled for Saturday, December 7th. According to city staff, festivities for the parade are set to begin at 5:00 p.m. Saturday.

Residents are encouraged to gather along 100th Street as Santa and the rest of the parade floats move south from 108th Avenue to Centennial Park.

The parade will include floats from various local businesses and organizations. Energeticcity.ca and Moose Media will have floats in the parade playing a variety of Christmas country music classics.

After the parade reaches its destination, the city will host its annual Tree Light Up ceremony, free hot dogs and hot chocolate will be served, music will be played in Festival Plaza, and residents will have a chance to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus.
