This past week, we had the 21st Annual Light A Moose Radiothon presented by Chances Casino! During this year’s radiothon, we were aiming to raise $150,000 for the Fort St John Hospital Foundation to help them purchase a MALDI machine to help enhance lab efficiency and speed up patient diagnosis.

With your support, we were able to raise $150,125! Thank you to everyone who donated and to our sponsors for making Light A Moose possible! I also want to give a special shout out to the crews from 100.1 Moose FM and the Hospital Foundation who were out in the cold all three days!

Most-Read Stories of the Week

It’s always interesting to see what the readers of Energeticcity.ca are most curious about. Sometimes it’s a big decision that will impact property taxes, and sometimes it’s a new restaurant coming to town. Here are the most-read stories for the week of November 17 to 23, 2024:

1. Dawson Creek Companies Fined: after an explosion injured two workers. According to WorkSafeBC, Secure Energy Inc and Key Energy Ltd failed to meet safety standards.
2. Court Report: for the week of November 12 to 15, 2024. Included are the latest sentences handed down from the Fort St. John and Dawson Creek provincial courts.
3. BC Man Wins $795,000: in bear deterrent injury lawsuit. The incident occurred in 2017 in which a Star Blazer bear banger caused injuries.
