Peace River Regional District plans Charlie Lake sewer repairs
The Peace River Regional District has announced repairs and construction in Charlie Lake from August 12th to September 9th.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Peace River Regional District has announced repairs and construction in Charlie Lake from August 12th to September 9th.
The district posted information about the planned construction on its Facebook page and district website on the morning of August 7th.
In the announcement, the district stated that Big League Utilities and McElhanney Ltd. were contracted to design and install a new low-pressure sewer line between Lakeshore Drive in Charlie Lake and the Alaska Highway.Â

The district warned that residents may experience impacts on their properties during the four weeks of construction.
The district wrote in the announcement that “Septic tanks on properties close to repair and construction activities may not be able to pump for a few hours while repairs are being conducted.”Â
Big League Utilities will connect with property owners on the day of construction if residents can expect interruptions.Â
The district recommends homeowners get their septic tanks cleaned before storage to mitigate against sewage-related impacts, and notices have been delivered to potentially affected homeowners.Â
