Local clinic recruits new physicians amid staff shortage
The Fort St. John Family Practice Associates Clinic announced four new physicians have been recruited.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The Fort St. John Family Practice Associates Clinic announced four new physicians have been recruited.
According to a social media announcement from the clinic on Friday, Dr. Azza Makery will take over on August 1st after Dr. Retnam Sandhu’s departure.
The post also states that three physicians will start at the clinic in September for a one-year term, with the possibility of staying longer. Â
“We sincerely understand the frustration of late with regards to access to healthcare, especially in Fort St. John, and we are very thankful to be able to provide additional access to our patients over the coming year,” said the post.Â
According to its website, the primary healthcare clinic offers its patients a “truly comprehensive healthcare solution available when they need it most.”Â
The clinic asks the community to give the new hires a warm welcome.Â
“Let’s show them how great our little community really is!” said the post.
