FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The Northeast BC Accessibility Committee is asking the public to design their logo.
Interested artists have until March 4th to submit their designs along with the contest competition form.
The top three designs chosen by the committee will receive a prize.
Submissions can be emailed to recreation@fortstjohn.ca or delivered in person at the Pomeroy Sport Centre.
The committee is a collaboration between the City of Fort St. John, the Peace River Regional District, the Northern Rockies Regional Municipality, and other communities to develop a shared accessibility strategy for the region to meet the requirements of the provincial Accessible BC Act.
The committee will help other organizations remove barriers for people with disabilities, such as washrooms without automatic door openers and videos without closed captioning.
The Accessibility Plan was created by northeast B.C. municipalities to improve accessibility across northeast B.C.
