Snowfall should ease near midnight, but Environment Canada says a risk of freezing rain will remain for the rest of the night.
Rapidly accumulating snow will make travel difficult, and visibility may be suddenly reduced.
Environment Canada recommends preparing for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions, including adjusting to winter driving behaviour and using winter tires and chains.
