It was a busy fall in the Peace region this year. We had the 10th Annual Block Party​, the Spark Women’s Leadership Conference​, the Women’s U-18 Hockey Championship​, Remembrance Day​, Speed Skating with an Olympian​, Light A Moose​, and more. As your #1 source of local news in Fort St John, we try our best to cover and go to as many of these events as possible. Here are some fun pictures of our team out and about:

Top Stories of the Week

It’s always interesting to see what the readers of Energeticcity.ca are most interested in the region. Sometimes it’s a big decision that will impact property taxes, and sometimes it’s a new restaurant coming to town. Here are the top stories for the week of November 12 to 18, 2023:

1. Site C Reservoir Filling:​ will begin on schedule in the fall of 2024 instead of an early start this fall.
2. Vehicle Incident in Taylor:​ between a Jeep and a pickup truck on Wednesday afternoon. Only one driver reported minor injuries.
3. Tractor-Trailer Hits Hydroelectric Pole:​ on November 10. No injuries were reported.
