Group assaults bicyclist in Dawson Creek

The Dawson Creek RCMP is asking the public for information about a late night assault that left a man unconscious.

DAWSON CREEK, B.C. – The Dawson Creek RCMP is asking the public for information about a late night assault that left a man unconscious.

On Thursday, a 32-year-old riding his bike was surrounded by a group of people using their vehicles to block the lone man, said police. After being possibly distracted, mounties believe the man was then knocked unconscious.

The incident is believed to have happened between 3 a.m. to 5 a.m. in the area of 15th Street and 102nd Avenue.

Dawson Creek police is seeking any witnesses or information regarding the assault that took place.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Dawson Creek RCMP at (250) 784 3700.
