Behind the Scenes
Our latest investigative story is out now for you to read. In this article, our investigative reporter Spencer Hall starts a new series called Disrupting the Peace which is focused on crime in the Peace region. In part 1, Spencer looks at crime stats and talks with experts to find out if property crime is on the rise, what may be the cause, and what is being done to solve this issue. Read about Spencer’s experience writing this article below:

“During the investigative process for this article, I had the pleasure of sitting down and speaking with Attorney General Niki Sharma, FSJ RCMP detachment commander Anthony Hanson, a member of Citizens Take Action, local businesses owners, and more. I also had the opportunity to join a member of the detachment for a ride-along to get a brief glimpse of what an RCMP officer’s day-to-day looks like.
Latest Stories
Unfortunately, despite a month and a half of follow-up calls and emails, I was unable to interview anyone with the Dawson Creek detachment as they have been incredibly busy. But there’s always next month! Stay tuned for our next installment of Disrupting the Peace, Energeticcity’s new series covering crime in our region.”
