FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Fort St. John Family Practice Associates Clinic has announced the addition of three new doctors.
The clinic introduced Dr. Huria Zafar, Dr. Courtney Boyer, and Dr. Dennis Zhang to the community in a Facebook post on Friday.
Two of the new physicians will be taking over for Dr. John Breen and Dr. Amber Husband.
Dr. Boyer completed her residency in Fort St John in the summer of 2020 and has since then been sharing a practice with Dr. Glen Hamill.
According to the clinic, she has an interest in Obstetrics, Oncology, Palliative Care and MAID. Dr. Boyer also dedicates her time as one of our local GP oncologists at the Cancer Centre and is a faculty member for the Northern Residency Program.
Dr. Zafar recently completed her residency in Prince George and has now taken over the practice of Dr. Husband.
The clinic says Dr. Zhang recently completed his residency in Fort St John and has just taken over the practice of Dr. Breen. Dr. Zhang is interested in addiction treatment and also dedicates his time providing services at the local OAT (opioid agonist therapy) Clinic.
Patients of the exiting doctors are asked to book an appointment with Dr. Zhang or Dr. Zafar by calling or stopping by the clinic.

The three new doctors join another trio that started practicing in Fort St. John this year.
Earlier this month, the North Peace Primary Care Clinic welcomed Dr. A. Hakim Albiatly, the last of three doctors Northern Health announced earlier this year. The clinic welcomed Dr. Stephen Akinkunmi in June, and Dr. Ademola Aremu in March.
