SHANGHAI — Canada’s Meagan Duhamel and Eric Radford have captured gold in pairs at the world figure skating championships.

It was Canada’s first victory in the event since Jamie Sale and David Pelletier won gold in 2001.

The victory capped a perfect season for Duhamel and Radford, who have won gold in every event this season.

The Canadians, who won bronze at the previous two world championships, were the leaders after the short program.

More coming.
