An Amber Alert has been issued for a 6 year-old boy from Beaverlodge

BEAVERLODGE, A.B. — Alberta RCMP issued an Amber Alert late Wednesday for a 6-year-old boy who police say was abducted by his mother from Beaverlodge.

The alert, issued at 9:54 p.m. (B.C. time) on July 8, 2026, names the child as Lanakai Morrison, described as a white boy with a slight build, long light brown hair and brown eyes. Police say the abduction happened on July 7.

RCMP say Lanakai may be with his mother, Krista Morrison, 35, who is described as five-foot-eight with a medium build, long dark brown hair and brown eyes. She may be driving a black 2015 Toyota Tundra with Alberta licence plate CTN9517.

Police say they may also be travelling with Daniel Ludwig, age 35, who is described as five-foot-eleven with a large build, shaved head, and brown eyes. They also have another child with them, Karl Morrison, age four, a white male with a slight build, long dirty-blonde hair, and brown eyes. It is believed they are driving a 2006 red Ford F350 with AB license plate CXW8820.

The alert is in effect for people within 500 kilometres of Beaverlodge, including several areas across northwestern Alberta.

Authorities are warning the public not to approach anyone connected to the alert. Anyone with information is asked to call Beaverlodge RCMP at 780-354-2955, local police, or 911 if the group is seen.
