Registration open for first community pickleball tournament of outdoor season
The first PCPA-sponsored pickleball tournament in 2026 goes down starting June 6th in Taylor.

TAYLOR, B.C. — Early-bird registration has been opened for the Peace Country Pickleball Association’s (PCPA) first outdoor tournament in 2026.
The third annual Corey Jonsson Tournament takes place on June 6th and 7th at the Taylor pickleball courts.
The tournament is named after Corey Jonsson, a longtime PCPA member who passed away in 2024.

She won two medals at the BC 55+ Games in 2022 in the sport, with a silver in women’s doubles with partner Arlene Boon and a gold medal in mixed doubles with Dan Hogg.
Entry is currently set at $50 for the tournament, which covers one event. An additional entry to a secondary draw costs $30.
Registration can be done on the tournament’s website.
The Corey Jonsson memorial tournament takes place starting on Saturday, June 6th at the Taylor pickleball courts at 9999 99th Avenue in the district of Taylor.
