CHARLIE LAKE, B.C. — An injured deer was the reason behind an early morning roadblock in Charlie Lake, according to the Fort St. John RCMP.

Residents had taken to social media about the speculation of a roadblock on March 18th.

According to the detachment’s media relations officer Christiaan Dreyer, police were called to Old Hope Road in Charlie Lake at approximately 6:18 a.m. on Wednesday.

Upon arriving, officers blocked off the road and assisted B.C. Conservation Officer Service members with an injured deer, helping to move it to a safe location.
