Tumbler Ridge Community Centre nominated for Kraft Hockeyville

The Tumbler Ridge Community Centre is a nominee in the contest, which offers a $250,000 grand prize and the opportunity to host an NHL pre-season game.

TUMBLER RIDGE, B.C. — The Tumbler Ridge Community Centre is among many arenas across the country nominated for Kraft Hockeyville 2026.

As of February 27th, the arena has generated 78 story submissions worth 10 rally points each, 155 rally photos worth three points each and 83 rally notes worth one point each for a combined total of 1,328 points. 

According to the competition’s website, 80 per cent of an arena’s score comes from its nomination stories – either written or video – while the remaining 20 per cent is based on its total rally points.

Judges will first select a winner from each province and territory, with each receiving $50,000 for arena upgrades. From there, two finalists will compete head-to-head in a national vote.

The grand prize winner will receive $250,000 for arena upgrades and the opportunity to host an NHL pre-season game. The runner-up will receive $100,000.

The competition’s nomination and rally phase wraps up on March 1st, with provincial and territorial winners to be announced on March 14th.

The top two finalists will be revealed on March 24th, followed by nationwide voting on April 3rd and 4th. The grand prize winner will be announced on April 4th.
