Power outage cuts off 1,050 customers in Taylor

A power outage in Taylor should be resolved by 2 p.m. on February 16th, according to BC Hydro.

TAYLOR, B.C. — BC Hydro has reported a power outage which left 1,050 customers off the grid in Taylor.

The outage, which the power company says was caused by a motor vehicle incident, was reported at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, February 16th. 

It affected two areas: 924 customers south of Baldonnel Road and north of the Taylor Flats subdivision, and 126 customers north of Big Bam Road.

Crews are on-site, and BC Hydro said the power should be restored by 2 p.m.
