DAWSON CREEK, B.C. — Tim Hortons is launching this year’s Holiday Smile Cookie campaign today (November 17th).

The annual fundraiser runs from November 17th to 23rd, with funds from every Holiday Smile Cookie sold at Dawson Creek Tim Hortons locations going directly to the Dawson Creek Firefighters Charitable Society and at Fort St. John branches to the Salvation Army food bank.

The Dawson Creek Firefighters Charitable Society said the partnership allows it to continue investing in programs that directly benefit residents.

According to the society, it invests in several initiatives throughout the year:

  • School reading programs and providing students with back-to-school supplies.
  • Emergency financial assistance for families impacted by fires.
  • Youth sports programs.
  • Food security initiatives, including previous donations of food and funds to local food banks.

The society, in partnership with the City of Dawson Creek, will also be hosting the Code Red Christmas Parade on December 12th.

In Fort St. John, the Salvation Army has also announced the start of its annual Christmas Kettle Campaign to support its good work.

Nationally, Tim Hortons said the Holiday Smile Cookie campaign raised $10.7 million last year and more than $20.5 million since launching in 2023.

Funds from Smile Cookies support local charities and community groups across Canada, along with Tim Hortons Foundation Camps.
