(UPDATE) Smile Cookie sales raise $30K in Fort St. John, shattering previous record

Smile Cookie sales 2025 in Fort St. John raised $30,000 for the Fort St. John Hospital Foundation, more than doubling 2024’s total.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Tim Hortons across the city raised over $30,000 in donations during Smile Cookie Week for the Fort St. John Hospital Foundation. 

Across Canada and America, Tim Hortons raised $22.6 million in Smile Cookie sales to benefit more than 600 charities and community groups, breaking the previous year’s record.

The week’s Smile Cookie sales in Fort St. John raised $32,052 for the Fort St. John Hospital Foundation, with the first giant cookie auctioned off for a donation of $250, according to a May 8th press release.

“We’re so grateful for the outpouring of support for this year’s Smile Cookie campaign from Tims’ guests across Canada,” Axel Schwan, president of Tim Hortons, said.

“Thanks to your incredible generosity we topped our previous Smile Cookie record.”

Across the city, individuals and businesses alike came out to show their support.

GFL Environmental delivered cookies to students at North Peace Secondary School (NPSS) and the Energetic Learning Campus (ELC), and Arc Resources brought the treats to Robert Ogilvie Elementary School.

Troyer Ventures and Pembina Pipeline also delivered cookies throughout the city, with visits to CM Finch Elementary School and School District 60 staff respectively. 

“We are incredibly proud of how our community came together this year,” Kelly Amboe, executive director of the Fort St. John Hospital Foundation, said. 

“Smile Cookie Week is about more than cookies—it’s about connection, compassion and community. We’re grateful to everyone who helped make this year so special.”

Funds raised in Fort St. John more than doubled compared to 2024, when approximately $14,000 was raised.
