FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Emergency preparation workshops will be held for Peace region producers next month.

According to the Peace River Regional District (PRRD) in a Facebook post, the Producer Emergency Awareness Sessions aim to boost agricultural producers’ emergency response and resilience, providing “practical tools and strategies” to protect farms and livestock during disasters.

During the workshops hosted by the BC Agriculture Council (BCAC) and AgSafe BC, participants will learn how to build a farm-specific emergency plan, understand B.C.’s emergency response framework and use tools such as the Premises ID.
