Bail hearing for man facing murder charge further delayed to September
A man facing a murder charge in Dawson Creek, Nolan Schmidt, has had his bail hearing delayed again.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — A man facing a murder charge in Dawson Creek has had his bail hearing delayed.
Nolan Schmidt faces charges of murder, discharging a firearm with intent and aggravated assault following his arrest at the beginning of the year after a shooting in the city.
The shooting, which happened on January 19th at a pair of downtown properties, left one person dead and another injured.

Schmidt was set to have a bail hearing for his charges on August 13th, following a series of delays and adjournments.
According to a representative from the BC Prosecution Service, Schmidt’s bail hearing did not proceed on that date.
His next court appearance is reportedly scheduled for September 8th, to select a new date for the bail hearing.
