DAWSON CREEK, B.C. — Police officers in Dawson Creek are looking into reports of gunshots being fired within the city.

According to an email from RCMP North District media relations officer Madonna Saunderson, officers responded to a report of gunshots being fired in the city on June 7th at 6:14 p.m.

The shots were allegedly fired in the area of 91A Avenue.

“Police are actively investigating and there were no reported injuries,” Saunderson said. “There are no further details available at this time.”

Saunderson also explained that more information may be released regarding the incident as it becomes available.
