Vandalized play structure closed until further notice in Centennial Park
The City of Fort St. John says the cubed play structure in Centennial Park is closed until further notice after being vandalized.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — An act of vandalism has left a play structure in Centennial Park closed until further notice.
Ryan Harvey, the city’s communications manager, said the top level of the park’s cubed play structure was closed after an inspection on April 17th found its plexiglass had been broken, making it unsafe for children.
“We put a lot of effort into ensuring that our parks are fun spaces for people to hang out and play, and so anytime that people see any vandalism, we encourage them to report it,” said Harvey.

Activities, like the other play structures and swings, are still available at the park.
The City of Fort St. John said on Facebook it has ordered the items needed for repair and will provide an update when the structure is safe again.
Harvey said it is unclear at this time when the structure will be reopened.
