FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — A local photographer’s goal of raising $9,000 from her pet calendar was met – and exceeded – according to the woman herself.
Tiffany Wilson announced on a Facebook post on April 4th that the total sales of the calendar raised $9,230.
Proceeds will go toward both the North Peace SPCA and On Our Way Home Animal Rescue, an animal foster care service in Chetwynd, Dawson Creek and Fort St. John. Each will receive $4,615.

“It’s so exciting to reach a goal,” said Wilson. “Every year we go up and above our last year’s amount is exciting.”
This year’s calendar featured a mixture of new canines and photos from previous years.
Included in the calendar was Murphy, the pet of missing hunter Jim Barnes.
Sponsors for the project include Canadian Tire, Bone and Biscuit, Unforgettable Memories Foto Source, Rivers Animal Hospital, Pimm’s Production Equipment Ltd., Eminent Energy, Rosebrook Flooring, Friendly Pets, Tom’s Construction, Shelley’s Pet Pawlour, K-Mac Signs and Graphics, The Hair Bin, Great Northern Bridgeworks and Owen Pickell.

“I have a lot of repeat sponsors,” said Wilson. “Which is super great because it just makes it that much easier to get going [with the calendar].”
Wilson began her pet photography journey by taking photos of friends and family members’ pets, turning the hobby into a career in 2018.
Through the five years of releasing the calendar, $34,000 has been raised for the charities.
