FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The next installment of a bi-annual non-profit fundraiser is coming to Fort St. John next week.

The first 100 Women Who Care event of 2025 is coming up on March 11th at the Lido Theatre in Fort St. John.

A non-profit organization focused on supporting local communities, 100 Women Who Care aims to fundraise at least $10,000 at each event it hosts and then hold a vote to determine which nominated organization will receive the funds in full.

Announced on Facebook, the March event will feature three nominee organizations based in Fort St. John presenting to attendees about their groups.

March 2025’s nominees are the Fort St. John Women’s Resource Society, North Peace Pregnancy Care Centre and the Fort St. John Senior Citizen’s Association.

Bailey Ryder, a member of the committee involved with organizing 100 Women Who Care, explained the events are organized twice a year in March and September.

“Everyone loves volunteering, donating, but [donating] that $50 doesn’t really go far,” Ryder said.

“But when you do it with a whole bunch of like-minded people, then it really does go a lot farther.”

Doors open at the Lido at 5:30 p.m., with the event starting at 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online, with residents able to specify if they are donating $100, or donating and intending to attend.
